Compared to the beginning of November last year there seems to be quite a bit more snow but significantly less ice advance.

Plenty of snow cover across all of Russia, Baltic states and creeping towards Poland. But Hudson Bay is still ice free and several large areas of Northern Canada are snow free. Ice hasnt reached the coast of Alaska as yet.
