Little change, perhaps Hudson Bay slowly filling up, slight westwards progression in Europe. Norway and Finland areas now covered

Snow has covered all of Russia and creeping into Poland and Ukraine, Hudson Bay should ice over very soon, parts of Canada have been -40c last few days/. Still ice free around Alaska

Re: The Advancing Ice
Only slightly off topic - but have a look at the link below giving Sea Surface Temps (SST) - adjust your eyes to what is land and what is the sea and pick out the Atlantic.
you will see that the northern atlantic is somewhat cold at present and colder than average - but the sea around the uk is still above average at present.
Maybe one to keep an eye on during the rest of winter as may foretell what this winter could be.

Re: The Advancing Ice
Snow cover has finally reached most of Europe apart from France, maybe the last time we see it as extensive as this for a while ?
