Judging from the Country File forecast this week looks very wet for Cumbria, even record breaking for some. Wet tomorrow, extended showers Tuesday, very wet Wednesday with a waving front into Thursday on a very moist SW airstream. I,m already at average rainfall after just 15days. Could I be looking at a record month, wettest was 2000 with 119.8mm this must be on the cards to be broken. Weather Warning already out for Thursday, expect further updates tomorrow

Certainly looks wet. Just need 45mm or so to beat my record set in 2006 with 132.6mm.

Was that your wettest November or wettest ever month?!
My wettest month ever was 251.6mm in January 2005 (the month Carlisle flooded) and my wettest November being in 2000 (when I lived in Nateby, near Kirkby Stephen) with 251.5mm...pretty close call really.
I'm up to 170mm this month already, but could really do without it as I have a big job in and around Penrith to work on which involces being outdoors pretty much all daylight long. I have good waterproofs.

Good-god...I live in a desert compared to any of those places. I knew there'd be much wetter places than Appleby within Cumbria, but not to that extent.

Aye, wettest November. My wettest ever month was August 2004 214.3mm. Seem to get more rain in summer than in winter these days!

Wettest month coming up for me I think. I also think I'll go on site tomorrow and Wednesday then.

Wet spell very much still on !!!, weather warnings from Wednesday all the way through to Saturday, it may rain for virtually 3 days. I appear to be one of the driest spots so far this month in Cumbria but I think its my turn for at least 30mm of rainfall, we'll see

Serious flooding definitely on the cards. Rivers already high wouldn't be surprised if the fells got 400mm the next few days.
Bound to turn drier and colder after this surely!
