20.0c +

Post by darrog » Wed Aug 18, 2010 10:49 am

to date this year have had just 20 days with a max' of 20c+

3 in may/july/august
11 in june.

not very good and way down on the 33-35 of previous yrs.

quite clearly i'm struggling for 25 let alone 30.

Had 9 days last year above 20C, previous year 6 off the top of my head.

Not logging data this year but I would imagine were into double figures just.

No day over 20C since 2nd July here this year. Last year we had to wait until mid september to scape above 20C, after the 4th of July. This year could well be the same.

so you have had more 20c+ this year than in the last 2?

Global warming comes to Middleton!

But generally very poor, at least it has felt 'comfortably warm' as opposed to hot.

Yes it has been a better summer than the last 3 here, but still nothing more than just average. Lack of any hot days, max temp was back in May at 24.6C.

Highest in the summer months has been 23.2C.

At least it has been drier than the last 3 years.

May and June were very good early summer months - warm and dry.

I usually get quite a good number of +20c being in a slight hollow
makes up for it in winter with copious air frosts. :)

I bet you'd never put money on your years highest temp' been in May - I guess that's fairly rare?

carl, those fogs, presume sea connected?

Don't do too bad for fog in MM - just very murky days, the sort that even though its not rained everything stays wet all day.
Albeit - don't re-call any this year.
