33.3c 20th July 1901 at Newton Reigny, nr Penrith

Re the Kendal record - should have included the source of the info'.
'Summary of Meteorological Observations Made in Kendal from 1788 to 1880'

This was compiled by a Richard J. Nelson in 1881 and he had used the records of people like Dr. Dalton, John Gough, Samuel Marshall - all very well known and experts in the field.

In 1876 it would have been from his own records - I have not then taken the steps to source his records, but they will be somewhere.
