Any suggestions for when this might be?
I'm sure that there will be something later than my 20.4c on the 6th (Keswick 20.6c).
For curiosity, an offering from Roger Brugge:
20C readings yesterday include: 20.6 Keswick i.e the only one in my list of about 150 sites.
According to the Met Office the highest temperature yesterday was Preston Moor Park with 20.7C.
In Reading (since 1908), the latest three instances of 20C have been 20.4C 27 October 2005 21.7C 31 October 2014 20.4C 5 November 1938
On this last date the following also occurred: 70F/21.1C at Cambridge, Chelmsford (Essex), Mildenhall (Suffolk), Clacton (Essex), London; Tottenham and Halstead (Essex) - these are still the UK highest air temperatures on November.

Have now had a reply from the Met'O re the latest date in the year to record 20c
Looks like one of you holds a Cumbrian record
The reply is thus: Last year Drumburgh, Cumbria recorded a maximum temperature of 20.5C on Halloween 31 October 2014. For northern England, (north of 53.5N) there are no observations > 20C in November in our midas database. However, in Scotland 20.0C was recorded at Nairn (Nairnshire) and Leuchars (Fife) on 4 November 1946. More recently, on 27 October 2005 Edinburgh, Royal Botanic Garden recorded 22.1C on 27 October 2005.

As much as I was impressed with Carl having the record and only from last year - I was equally impressed by the fact that the Met'O found the info' pretty quickly.
How many more records do you think you may hold Carl?
