Hi,

People posting on this thread topic might be interested in listening to a recording of a presentation I did this summer at a conference in Munich.

http://greengambit.blogspot.co.uk/2013/ ... ublic.html

In it I explore how, often, Met Office weather warnings take little account of regional aspect or local knowledge. I'd love any feedback or thoughts from forum users!

Hi Weather1

just had a quick look at your pages and you certainly have come to the right place here for Cumbrian winters, snow and extreme weather. If you want any stats or memories of a particular event just add it as a topic on the forum and im sure everyone on here will be able to give some info on it.

Of course you can also follow the winter ahead in the daily reports section and the winter discussion as it happens
