Spotted my first few flakes this morning up Hartside. Crossfell has a very thin dusting on the summit

I didnt really report the first major snowfall in the Pennines last week, sorry

Despite the thaw on Sunday there are still plenty of old drifted bits and a fresh cover above 2000ft

AS I no longer patrol the Pennine roads it will be more difficult this season for any snow patch report

So if anyone is in the area A686 Hartside, remember to have a good look for any snow patches

Could still see one small patch on west side Skiddaw and a few bigger patches on northside of Blencathra last week.
