Actually I was never that keen on 'Notable', should probably have been 'significant'.

It was a bit windy and a bit wet - that is it, no more and barely notable, certainly nothing that we haven't had before on a regular basis.

Instead cast your eyes on the topic of the warm start to November - now that is notable.

But warm starts are hard to record or refer back to and if I dare say, a tad boring and unwanted :o :o

An ex Hurricane is more noteworthy, isnt it ?

So if it was a 'cold' stat you'd be interested?
It is surely a case of something being out of the usual, rare or significant and if someone deems that as boring, well we can't pick and choose and it may not be interesting, but it is worthy of note and we don't just do things because they are easy.

Also, if the MetO have done it back to 1772 it can't be that hard.

And of course, after all of this November may not be the warmest on record, but I would wager that it will still be notable for its warmth as opposed to its wetness.

After all the MetO have not put out a blog about how wet November as been to date.

I have to accept your argument.

AND from a weather point of view its noteworthy, but I still cant get excited with a warm spell in November, now a cold spell YES
