a 1cm cover of snow here - second day of laying - and a surprise

AWS connectivity issues - I am also experiencing the same issues!
Have tried a new battery and still the same - but it just goes on and off at random times, day or night.

What I have done though is remove the console from where it normally sits and moved it closer to the ISS and it always regains connection.

Something is going on, not sure what, but to test it out I would suggest moving the console nearer to the iSS and see what happens.

This is very odd you, me and Paul having the same reception problems.
Mine started working again at around 0200 until 1100 nothing since then.
New battery put in a few days ago so can't see why all the drop-outs. Had my
Davis for nearly 10 years with the console in the same place and very rarely
had problems.

Its not as if we're having unusual/extreme weather.

Oh yes, dull overcast day windy tonight.

PS: Just a thought but since we've all got the Vaisala put in could this be interfering somehow?

That is a thought, but its not transmitting anything ?

I think its the weather, long period of damp dark days - mine it back working again, always runs better in the wind I think. I have a new unit its only 12 months old if that and has been working perfectly until about a week ago which ties in with that long dank period

Mainly cloudy today, my 18 flakes of snow soon melted, had a few showers of rain but nothing special

AWS Max 6.9c
Rainfall 0.5mm

Looking windy tomorrow

Peak Gusts around 9-10am

Brampton - 55mph
Silloth - 64mph
GDF - 80mph

Looking at the weather for GDF for the next week, the temperature remains below freezing most days with snow on most days
