November 2018

Post by Anne » Sat Dec 01, 2018 11:24 am

November was a milder than average month, with the average maximum temperature about 1C above the November normal. The first half of the month was very mild with the highest temperature of 14.4C on two days, the 7th and 16th. From the 19th it became much colder with daytime highs less than 10C but the month finished with two mild, stormy days when the high again reached 14C. There were five air frosts but even the coldest night (26th) only had a low of -2C.

The total rainfall in November was 84mm which is slightly less than the average. Much of the rain came in the first half of the month, with a drier period from the 15th to 27th. There was a stormy finish to November with rain on the last four days amounting to 26.2mm. The wettest day was the 12th with 11.8mm.
