Spotted weather station we know nothing about!

Post by wmb » Wed Jul 22, 2015 8:51 pm

Spotted a few weesk ago what looked like a decent met station at Skinburness, in the filed at the back of a farm next to the road that runs through the village (almost opposite Skinburness Hotel).

Is anyone aware of an observer in the Skinburness/Silloth area?

518 mph AVERAGE wind speed.

I think there may be some wiring issues! Still I once reorded a wind speed of something like 300,000 m/s with a temperature of 200,000c using £10k sonic anemometer. They didn't like rain, very useful in Cumbria.
