Re: 13th February 2018
Yes a very strange day
Rain and sleet first thing, then just rain and like Carl says a spell of hail which turned into snow, something strange happening in the atmosphere !
I had 1-2cm of snow, but most of it melted in the bright sunshine this afternoon, still a thin covering in shaded areas. Its now frozen in clear skies
Currently 1.0c
AWs Max 3.6c
Looks we are going to have to wait at least 7-8days for any colder weather this SSW has occurred but appears to be slow in reversing the wind direction. Metoffice outlook still saying cold
Info from the roads forecast "6-10day outlook" 6-10 Day Outlook
Mostly dry and settled early next week with variable low cloud and marginal nights. Signs of a proper cold easterly arriving later next week with snow showers for Pennine areas -
ushering in the chance of a prolonged cold spell.
